Levasseur Warren Coaching had the privilege of leading the intensive 90-minute workshop, “Mastering Strategic Negotiation”. Tailored specifically for Octo Group General Managers facing aggressive market headwinds and supply chain volatility, the session covered several critical topics to help members protect their bottom-line margins:
- Data-Driven Defense & The AI Advantage: We explored how to build an “Analytical Shield” using AI for market research, cost modeling, and scenario planning. We discussed how members can leverage data, such as price elasticity coefficients, to mathematically justify resistance against unwarranted supplier price increases.
- Managing Volatility & Complex Programs: The session provided tactical frameworks for navigating supply chain turbulence and negotiating highly profitable annual rebate and bonus programs beyond traditional fixed-price haggling.
- Mastering Group Negotiation Dynamics: To combat the challenge of team-based negotiations, we highlighted the importance of presenting a “Unified Octo Front”. We broke down a strict framework for tactical role allocation assigning the lead negotiator, subject matter expert, and observer to prevent suppliers from dividing and conquering.
